After high school, Cory joined the United States Navy and served a tour during Operation Enduring Freedom.  He enjoyed serving his country so much that he started a career in Public Safety and was dedicated to serving the community and the citizens of Reno, Sparks and Lake Tahoe for nearly 15 years.
